Leicester College Workshop

As part of Mental Health Awareness week, Life Links delivered a work shop on Tuesday 14 May to a class at Leicester College – Abbey Park campus. As this year’s theme is all about Body Image, the workshop focused on what body image means to different people, and how we can practise self compassion to build self esteem.

The group took part in several activities which were aimed at identifying their strengths and unique aspects of themselves. After completing the workshop, the group voiced that they now found it much easier to identify their positives, when thinking about themselves as a whole (rather than just their physical appearance).  Some of their answers included:

“I am a good friend”

“I am good at understanding somebody’s feelings”

“I am a good daughter”

It was great to meet the students at Leicester College. Keep thinking about those positives and see you soon!
