We are very pleased to announce that in October 2019, Life Links celebrated two years of service.
For 2 years the service has excelled at supporting clients with their mental health and wellbeing in the community.
Life Links held a celebration event at St Martins House to celebrate with all stakeholders.
We were joined by guest speakers Ben Smith and Christine Collingwood. They gave us an insight into the commissioning plans and processes that went on behind the scenes, with Leicester City Council and Leicestershire County Council, when Life Links was forming as a service.
A short film was put together to illustrate the unique experiences of staff, volunteers and clients at Life Links. This was followed by a Mindfulness exercise presented by Shante Carr-Brown (Recovery Worker). Leah (Recovery Worker), Steve (Volunteer) and Mian (Supported by Life Links) shared their personal experiences. All of which were individually inspiring.
The event ended with a gratitude exercise hosted by Aliyah Egbewo (Recovery Worker). This got us all thinking about what we are grateful for and why. We finished by enjoying a delightful lunch!
Overall, it was great to highlight the accomplishments the service has achieved and we hope everyone who attended enjoyed their time as much as we all did here at Life Links! A huge thank you to our partners for their continuous support!
