Staff from Life Links celebrated Mental Health Awareness Week 2018 throughout Leicester City, Blaby, Oadby & Wigston. This included delivering a workshop at The Curve and a presentation at Blaby District Council to members of the public and staff. We encouraged people to think about stress, when it can be useful and how we might try and manage it. People also had the opportunity to meet our staff at the several stalls we had throughout the area.

Life Link’s very own Shanté said of one of the talks:-

“It was great to meet staff and residents of Blaby District. We appreciate the opportunity to share information about our services whilst raising awareness of mental health. We hope our audience took away some useful stress-busting suggestions and look forward to seeing them again in the future”.

One of our talks was also delivered as part of Leicester City Council’s ‘Local Offer Live’ event. Chloe, a Graduate Project Officer from the council’s Transformation, Commissioning and Intervention team, said of the event:

‘Local Offer Live is such an important event  in our city’s calendar as it brings to life Leicester Local Offer by showcasing the support available to children and young people with SEND, their parents and carers, and professionals.

This year’s event fell within mental health awareness week and included a range of activities to aid mental as well as being informative’
