Life Links Team Up with Leicestershire Recovery College

Life Links were honoured to be given the opportunity to deliver a four week managing emotions workshop at Glenfield Hospital’s Recovery College.  The ‘managing emotions’ workshops focused on mindfulness, positive wellbeing, relieving tension and safety planning.  The learners were keen to explore these topics and gave some wonderful feedback to our facilitators. Here are a few quotes from the feedback:

“What I found most useful about this course was learning how to cope with stress and techniques to manage my emotions”

“What I enjoyed most was all the techniques and the friendly atmosphere”

We were also thrilled to read that all learners felt their knowledge around the subject had improved and that they all felt they’d met their learner outcomes!

The workshop was delivered by our dedicated volunteer, Leah, and our Recovery Worker Aliyah. Aliyah gave us her thoughts on the workshops:

“I very much enjoyed delivering the managing emotions workshops at the Recovery College. They are usually topics that I go through with people I support, but it was wonderful to be able to share them with a group of learners at. Everyone contributed and it was a pleasure to meet new people and hear their stories. I also hope it gave them a chance to interact with others! I would facilitate this workshop again.”

Thank you to the Recovery College for inviting us and having us in your prospectus. We look forward to working with you again in the future.
