Workshop at the Recovery College

On the Wednesday 15 May, the third day of Mental Health Awareness Week, Life Links delivered another workshop! This time, Recovery Worker Terri and Volunteer Emily explored body image with people at Glenfield Hospital’s Recovery College.

We had some really good discussions around body image and how an ‘ideal body’ differs from person to person. We also spoke about how as a society we are/have been discouraged from speaking about ourselves positively. The activities we did within the workshop helped to encourage positive self-talk and recognise that we all have good things about us and they should be celebrated!

Thank you to the Recovery College for inviting us, and for the people that came to take part.

We look forward to seeing you again soon!
