Celebrating Leicester Mela 2018!

Here at Life Links, we are proud to support people from all walks of life, including those from British, Black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) communities. Therefore, we were delighted to attend the Leicester Belgrave Mela 2018, a fantastic festival which celebrates South Asian and Indian culture.  The event took place on Sunday 19 August and thousands of people attended, enjoying art, music, food, fashion,  entertainment and lots more!

Life Links had a stall at the event, where we  focused on promoting the link between the food we eat and the impact this can have on our mood. With hundreds of people stopping by our stall, trying our activities and taking leaflets, it was a very successful day all round!

Kaseem from Life Links spent the whole day at the Mela and had this to say:

“We had a great day at the Mela talking to people and raising the profile of our service in the local community. Our stall was well attended and people were all really interested in learning more about the relationship between food and mood .

Thank you to Leicester Mela for hosting us. We had a brilliant time and were thrilled to let people know we are here to support them.

If you think you, or someone you know would benefit from our support, please get in touch today.

See you next year, Mela!
