Life Links Join the Braunstone Blues
Amelia, a staff member from Life Links, visited Braunstone on Wednesday 13th of June with the Braunstone Blues, the local team of police, paramedics and fire service. Their aim is to deliver a healthier, safer and more secure community, by visiting residents on their doorstep and sharing information.
Alongside sharing details about our service, Amelia took down the contact numbers of some residents to help give them support in the future.
Amelia expressed her enjoyment of the day, saying:
‘It was great to be part of the Braunstone Blues ‘Healthy, Safe, Secure’ street surgery. Life Links are keen to raise awareness of the mental health support that is available in this area, and this was an effective way of doing so’
Braunstone Blues’ Paramedic Mark Ross, said:
“We work with partners and residents of Braunstone to deliver a healthier, safer and more secure community by educating and directing residents to appropriate services available to them, with the aim of reducing the number of emergency calls in the area. We do this in a number of ways, via a home visit service and delivering appropriate campaigns, but also through our regular street surgeries in high demand areas.
“We are proud to be working in partnership with Life Links, and appreciate their support by joining us on our street surgeries. Their valuable input, advice and support to residents around mental health and wellbeing is fundamental to the work of Braunstone Blues.”
